Is this supposed to burn when your skin when applied? I am using Neutrogena under eye serum and it burns after a while when I put it on. I am wondering cause my sister used some under eye cream from Aveeno and had the same effect. Anyone else experienced this and is it supposed to do that?

Yes, an effective anti-wrinkle cream can cause a burning sensation. This is very mild and tolerable. Your eye cream contains TRETINOIN or RETINOIC ACID. This is the ingredient which causes the burn. Tretinoin is very effective against wrinkles. Just continue using your eye cream, it’s working.

I don’t think it is supposed to burn.
You might just be sensitive to some skin products and would need to try different ones to decide which ones are best for you.
It should not burn you. Are you getting a bit on the edge of the under-lid? That may be why. If so use a little less and don’t take it up as high under your eye. If not, then you (and your sis) may be allergic to an ingredient in it. Compare the brands you have to see if the ingredient list is the same. Then look for one that has different ingredients. Or ask a dermatologist for a recommendation after telling her what is going on.
Eye cream is definitely NOT supposed to burn, in fact it should be soothing.
Here are a couple of good ones:
Arbonne NutriMinC RE9 http://www.befabulous.net
Murad w/ SPF http://www.murad.com or http://www.skinstore.com
has some great ones.
Eye cream is definitely where you want to spend your money – save on eye shadows, blushes and pencils.
I use under eye cream for wrinkles and it does’nt burn & I have never heard of one that does. If it does somethings wrong. Try oil of olay there stuff is great. I use StriVectin it’s amazing & I also have FREEZE. Call your dermatologist about the burning esp near the eyes. Read the side affects
