i’ve looked at customer reviews on many sites and they all turn out to be selling those products–isn’t there some kind of consumer report that is totally unbiased or a doctors website….i think we’d all like some REAL TRUE (if thats possible) answers!!!!!

they actually work, but u gotta wet ur face before applying, water helps skin cells stick to the creams
Yes! I use and Alpha Hydroxy Creme and face wash everyday. I also use a light glycolic facial peel once or twice a week! Real results almost immediately, but they improve with regular use. It’s also the only thing that helped with my acne and reducing large pores.
I second the recommendation for Retin-A, quite heartily.
Here (Canada) it’s only about CDN$25 for a tube — cheap, given how long it lasts.
This stuff –http://www.canderm.com/page.asp?intNodeI…
is also pretty good. Note “11x more effective than Strivectin…” Okay, but what _is_ that stuff, save for overpriced goo with an overblown and insulting (in much the same way as the web sites you mention) ad campaign? I don’t trust anything that has to hype itself so much.
But. The NeoStrata works well; I’ve had good luck with all their products.
You can try homeremedies which effectively can cure anything. There are many homeremedies for wrinkles. And you can prepare ANTIWRINKLE CREAM at your home check it out

i know of excellent Italian products called KORFF, they are fantastic products that WORK as i use the eye cream, it was given to me as a gift from a friend who lives there. You can buy them on eBay. have a look at their web page, there is an English option once you get in. good luck.
My mom tried OLAY… i think its effective…
It is less about the brand and more about the ingredients of what works to reduce fine lines. The three best ingredients in skin care creams avaiable now are:
Vitamin C (topical and internal)
DMAE http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DMAE
Alpha Lipoic Acid http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alpha_Lipoi…
The work that Dr. Perricone has done in researching these has opened the door to many clinical skin care lines including these in their products. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicholas_Pe…
If you are most concerned about wrinkles, I recommend reading the Wrinkle Cure by Dr. Perricone as it talks about changes to diet, skincare and other lifestyle habits that reduce or reverse wrinkles.
Although you may consider Dr. Perricone research as biased or a just another doctor…his reasearch has been recogonzed industry wide as valid and groundbreaking. You don’t have to buy his products…but just googling on these ingredient names will give you TONS of options.
And in terms of whether it works? Well, I have seen HUGE changes in the texture of my skin since using these ingredients for just a few weeks. I did a picture comparison of the fine lines around my eyes from last spring…and there are less now with the ALA eye creme.
Retin-A really will show some results, but it has to be at least 0.05%…I bought mine in Mexico, but you can get it from a dermatoligist, but its more expensive..i put it on full strength…….
if you want to prevent wrinkles eat healthy food esp greens and reds whn it comes to fresh fruits and vegetables coz the darker it is th more rich in anti oxidants , drink lots of water, moisturise and keep sunscreen all the time even if it’s cloudy even if you are dark skinned. also excercise every day.
if you want to treat wrinkles the best solution is in the fruit acid creams aha’s and retin a cream which is the most effective but it has a drying effect so moisturize and always wear sunscrean cuz ur skin will be very sensitive to the sun and you have to anyways unless you want premature aging and cellulite.
retin a cream is as mentioned sold by perscription but so far is the best solution and better than most cosmetic and drugstore products which cost much much more.http://www.ivillage.com has reviews on products and usually mention prices as well which is pretty good. http://www.webmd.com has many useful articles you can read.
this is an abstract from medline about effectiveness of retinol but it has many medical terms i don’t know if it’s a waste of time for you or not:
Vitamin A Antagonizes Decreased Cell Growth and Elevated Collagen-Degrading Matrix Metalloproteinases and Stimulates Collagen Accumulation in Naturally Aged Human Skin
Varani J, Warner RL, Gharaee-Kermani M, et al
J Invest Dermatol. 2000;114:480-486
Damage to human skin due to ultraviolet light from the sun (photoaging) and damage occurring as a consequence of the passage of time (chronologic or natural aging) are considered to be distinct entities. Photoaging is caused in part by damage to skin connective tissue by increased elaboration of collagen-degrading matrix metalloproteinases, and by reduced collagen synthesis. As matrix metalloproteinase levels are known to rise in fibroblasts as a function of age, and as oxidant stress is believed to underlie changes associated with both photoaging and natural aging, we determined whether natural skin aging, like photoaging, gives rise to increased matrix metalloproteinases and reduced collagen synthesis. In addition, we determined whether topical vitamin A (retinol) could stimulate new collagen deposition in sun-protected aged skin, as it does in photoaged skin. Sun-protected skin samples were obtained from 72 individuals in four age groups: 18-29 y, 30-59 y, 60-79 y, and 80+ y. Histologic and cellular markers of connective tissue abnormalities were significantly elevated in the 60-79 y and 80+ y groups, compared with the two younger age groups. Increased matrix metalloproteinase levels and decreased collagen synthesis/expression were associated with this connective tissue damage. In a separate group of 53 individuals (80+ y of age), topical application of 1% vitamin A for 7 d increased fibroblast growth and collagen synthesis, and concomitantly reduced the levels of matrix-degrading matrix metalloproteinases. Our findings indicate that naturally aged, sun-protected skin and photoaged skin share important molecular features including connective tissue damage, elevated matrix metalloproteinase levels, and reduced collagen production. In addition, vitamin A treatment reduces matrix metalloproteinase expression and stimulates collagen synthesis in naturally aged, sun-protected skin, as it does in photoaged skin.

i have heard wonderful things about strivectin sd. not just from advertisements but from website reviews about how good it is for the skin. i really need to get some… as soon as i have some money, because it is kindof expensive.
Are your wrinkles serious? If only fine lines, Kiehl’s Abyssine Cream really works, details are at: http://beauty-tricks.com/index.php?optio…
No, its all in the genes and staying out of the sun. A little moisterizer, any kind, helps keep it from getting dry…that’s after washing your face with a hot wet cloth 2 or3 times a day. Everything else on the market does nothing but smell good.
Olay regenerist! They do not sell it here either. See this source for why. http://www.beautyqa.com/
